OBSERVATIONS 25 DCMR CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
10. - There is no handwashing signage at the handwashing sink.  3004.1 A sign or poster that notifies food employees to wash their hands shall be provided at all handwashing sinks used by food employees and shall be clearly visibly to food employees.  
10. - There are no paper towels at the handwashing sink.  3002.1 Each handwashing sink or group of adjacent sinks shall be provided with: (a) Individual, disposable towels; Pf (b) A continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel; Pf (c) A heated-air hand drying device that is provided in addition to other hand-drying devices at sinks used for food preparation or warewashing areas; Pf or (d) A hand drying device that employs an air-knife system that delivers high velocity, pressurized air at ambient temperatures. Pf  
10. - There is no soap at the handwashing sink.  3001.1 Each handwashing sink or group of two (2) adjacent sinks shall be provided with a supply of hand cleaning liquid, powder, or bar soap. Pf  
50. - The facility lacks hot water. The owner stated one of the two hot water heaters were off.  2305.2 Hot water generation and distribution systems shall be sufficient to meet the peak hot water demands throughout the food establishment. Pf  
51. - A water line at the 2-compartment sink is leaking onto the floor.  2418.1 A plumbing system shall be: (a) Repaired according to the D.C. Plumbing Code (2008) incorporating the International Plumbing Code 2006, as amended by the D.C. Plumbing Code Supplement (subtitle F of 12 DCMR); and (b) Maintained in good repair.  
51. - The threaded faucets at the mop sink and in other locations lack backflow preventors.  2404.1 A backflow or backsiphonage prevention device installed on a water supply system shall meet American Society of Sanitary Engineering (A.S.S.E.) standards for construction, installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing for that specific application and type of device. 53. - The toilet room does not have a covered receptacle for the disposal of feminine hygiene products.  2707.1 A toilet room used by females shall be provided with a covered receptacle for feminine hygiene products.  
53. - The toilet room door is not self-closing.  2911.1 Toilet rooms shall not open directly into a room used for the preparation of food for service to the public and shall be provided with a tight-fitting and self-closing door in accordance with the D.C. Plumbing Code (2008) incorporating the International Plumbing Code (2006) or most recent edition, as amended by the D.C. Plumbing Code Supplement (subtitle F of 12 DCMR). Pf  
55. - Unneccessary items such as mechanical equipment and inoperable refrigerators are stored on site.  3213.1 The premises shall be free of: (a) Items that are unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of the establishment such as equipment that is nonfunctional or no longer used; and (b) Litter.  
55. - There is water leaking from the ceiling of a walk-in refrigerator. There is pooled water on the 2nd floor area above the walk-in which may be contributing to the leak. There is pooled water in the reach-in refrigerator. There is also floor sink that is above grade in the walkway on the first floor that is a tripping hazard. There is gypsum board that is lacks tape, plaster, and paint on the 2nd floor in what appears to be a former toilet room.  3200.1 The physical facilities shall be maintained in good repair.

Not approved. Correct stated violations and email a request for re-inspection.
