OBSERVATIONS 25 DCMR CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
10. - Observed there was no running hot water at the hand washing sinks (at least 100 degree F) during the inspection.  2402.1 A handwashing sink shall be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least thirty-eight degrees Celsius (38 degrees C) (one hundred degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees F)) through a mixing valve or combination faucet. 15. - Observed ice for drinking purpose stored in trash bag. (Corrected On Site)  809.1 Food shall only contact surfaces of: (a) Equipment and utensils that are cleaned as specified in chapter 19 and sanitized as specified in chapter 20; P or (b) Single-service and single-use articles. P  
50. - Observed there was running hot water (at least) 3-compartment ware washing sinks during the inspection.  2305.2 Hot water generation and distribution systems shall be sufficient to meet the peak hot water demands throughout the food establishment. Pf  
51. - Observed clogged drain from the 3-compartment sink and grease trap box in the kitchen.  2418.1 A plumbing system shall be: (a) Repaired according to the D.C. Plumbing Code (2008) incorporating the International Plumbing Code 2006, as amended by the D.C. Plumbing Code Supplement (subtitle F of 12 DCMR); and (b) Maintained in good repair.  
62. - The establishment's business license expired on May 31, 2021. Contact the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs regarding the license's status. Inspector Comments:
SUMMARY SUSPENSION for: Operating a food establishment with no hot water in violation of § 2305 [25-A DCMR 4408.1(k)(8)]

In order for license to be restored, a non-compliance restoration fee of $100 (for re-inspection during normal business hours) or $400 (for re-inspection during non-business hours) must be paid before an inspection can be scheduled and all violations must be corrected and approved by DC Health) Please see the details in the Restoration Procedures document provided by the inspector. Please note: Violations of the D.C. Department of Health’s Food Code may incur administrative and/or civil fines and penalties.
